WHAT’S IT FOR
Consider this the spinal equivalent of brushing your teeth… just do it every day.
It helps your back to feel freer and more comfortable immediately and throughout the day, and helps keep your discs healthy.
The most important time to do it is before you get out of bed in the morning. But if your back is feeling a little delicate, just do it several times a day.
- Start on all fours.
- Lift your hips and your head up, arch your back down, breathe in.
- Then reverse by arching your back up towards the ceiling, tuck your tailbone and head under, breath out.
- Perform 10 times.
It’s not a stretch, so don’t force it or hold either position, just keep moving gently from one position to the other, in time with your deep breathing.
*If it hurts: Do not go beyond that point.
